A balanced approach to well-being

Everything in nature has a balance, and our bodies are no different. It lets us know when we have too much or too little of something. When we upset that balance we encounter issues like weight gain, disease, lack of energy, poor mood and brain fog, to name a few. The challenge is, we don’t always know when we are out of balance or we just can’t identify the cause. The good news is that the same culprits of poor health such as food choice, stress, exercise and sleep, contribute to improved health when we approach these decisions with a different mindset. By making incremental changes in our eating patterns, redefining our relationship with food and consistently implementing habits that support a healthier body, we can begin to tip the scale back in our favor.

As a coach, I will facilitate the necessary changes for you to regain your health and improve your overall well-being. I will help you feel empowered to overcome whatever you may be struggling with by applying what you already know and activating the strengths and skills you naturally come by. By helping you organize your thoughts and clearing away the clutter, you will be able to move forward using the resources you have and I will help fill in the gaps when needed. I won’t tell you what to do, I will help you focus on what you can do.

Making change is like using a GPS. You have to know where you are starting from in order to get to where you want to go. You may be provided several different route options, but as your coach, I will help you discover the one that’s right for you. I will help you navigate your chosen path, identify speedbumps along the way and re-route you when you come across detours. When you arrive at your destination, you will have gained the confidence you need to take on new challenges while also having enjoyed the ride.

    Create a vision for the life you want to live. One full of purpose, balance and good health. Your coach will provide you with the tools you need to identify where you may need to make change. You and your coach will then partner to design an action plan that fits your needs and your schedule to fulfill that vision.

  • Lifestyle Medicine is a holistic approach that focuses on root cause care. By applying the six pillars of lifestyle medicine*: a whole-food, plant-predominant eating pattern; physical activity; restorative sleep; stress management; positive social connections and avoidance of risky substances, your coach will support you in all the areas of life that impact your well-being so you can thrive.

  • When it comes to nutrition, there is
    no one size fits all. We each come
    with our own medical history,
    genetics, cultural and educational
    backgrounds and eating preferences.
    That’s why I meet you where you
    are. We’ll focus on food behavior,
    nutritional education and practicing
    consistency so that food doesn’t
    hijack your every thought, putting
    you back in control.
